The new ZTE Quartz is the company’s newest smartwatch. This new wearable comes at an affordable price, and has GPS built-in.
As we know, Android has updated its smartwatch OS to Wear 2.0. This update is a huge step up compared with the original version.
But, this update also come with a price, because many devices which run these new OS have bumped up their prices. The new ZTE Quartz is not an exception to this rule.
People will be able to buy this new device at the price of 192 dollars.
Even if the price is a little bit high, we must say that this device is also considered to be one of the most affordable smartwatches on the market.
The new ZTE Quartz is similar with the LG Watch Sport in function and design. Unfortunately, the new ZTE Quartz doesn’t come with a heart rate monitor, but that is probably the main reason why its price is so low.
However, customers will be able to make phone calls with this new device, and it also comes with built-in cellular modem.
- But, we must say that customers won’t probably use the new ZTE Quartz as a fitness tracker, because its battery is not as powerful as it should.

The new ZTE Quartz comes with a 1.4-inch AMOLED display. This means that this device features that same size as the LG Watch Sport.
Moreover, ZTE’s new watch case measures 1.8 x 1.8 x 0.6 inches and weighs approximately 3.1 ounces. This means that this watch is not as comfortable as it should be, and people will probably have some problems to find the perfect fit on their hand.
Moreover, we must say that the design is not as useful as it should be. But, the good part is that people will be able to swap out the bands, which is a great thing. As know, the LG Watch Sport doesn’t have this kind of option.
The default strap on the new ZTE Quartz is the blue-and-black one, which is a little bit thick compared with the other.
But, customers should know that this trap is not as stylish as it should be. Moving forward to the button department, we must say that the company opted for simplicity here. So, people will find only one button, situated at the two o’clock position.
Moreover, if customers will hold this button down, they will activate Google Assistant. If they quick press it, the main app menu will pop up.
The new ZTE Quartz is powered by a 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, with 4GB of storage and 768MB of RAM.
These are the same exact components that customers will find at the Samsung Gear S3 and LG Watch Sport. Moreover, customers will find a built-in speaker, cellular modem, GPS, and a mic.
