Wisconsin woman wanted by FBI for murder of mother, fetus, captured in N.C.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.,  (UPI) — A woman who was placed on the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list just this week for the death of a pregnant woman and her unborn baby was captured Friday, federal authorities said.

Authorities had been searching for Shanika Minor since March, when a 23-year-old Wisconsin woman was killed. Officials said Minor was the killer and the victim was a former acquaintance.
Two days after she was put on the bureau’s “Most Wanted” list, Minor, 24, was captured Friday morning in Fayetteville, N.C. A tipster called the FBI to report Minor was staying at a motel near the airport there.
According to investigators, Minor shot and killed Tamecca Perry on March 6 over an argument about loud music. Perry, officials said, was a neighbor of Minor’s mother and a former high school classmate.
Wednesday, Minor was placed on the FBI list with the offer of $100,000 for information leading to her capture.
Minor faces two counts of first-degree murder for Perry and her unborn child, who was due March 11.
