Ukraine’s President Zelensky is still in Kyiv and he says, “We are all here, our soldiers are here … we are defending our independence.”
Russia’s attacks on Ukraine is continuing unabated on the second day, and the capital Kyiv has been targeted in a series of explosions. Reports claim Ukrainian troops are battling with Russian military just outside the capital city. The Ukrainian president has announced that 137 people were murdered on the first day of Russian assault, including civilians. Pictures have surfaced of numerous residential towers in Kyiv seriously damaged in air attacks. MEA is dispatching personnel to four places on Ukraine’s borders with Romania, Poland, Hungay and the Slovak Republic to help in evacuation of Indian people.
