Alwar is a beautiful city in the Northern Indian state of Rajasthan. It was earlier known as Mewat. In the history of Alwar, it is mentioned that it was ruled by the various Rajput kings of Rajasthan.

There are several places in Alwar to visit and the top ten are as follows

City Palace

It is the most attraction of Alwar city and it was built by Raja Vinay Singh that’s why it is also known as Vinay. There is also a museum in city palace and In the Museum you can find the collection of old items and for your information, it is usually closed on Friday.

Sariska Tiger Reserve

Sariska Tiger Reserve is well situated in the Aravali Hills covering around 800 sq km area. It is a national park which means it is protected area by the government for wild life and It is the first tiger reserve in the world to have successfully relocated tiger.

Sariska park including main animals like Leopard, Wild Dog, Jungle Cat, Hyena, Jackal, and Tiger.

  • Opening Timing: the park is open for every day from October to May and from 6 A.M. to 3:30 in the afternoon.

Moosi Maharani Ki Chhatri

Sati Pratha was the ritual of Rajasthan in which the wife kill herself after the death of her husband. This chhatri is the example of this ritual. Rani Moosi committed Sati after the death of her husband MAHARAJA BAKTHAWAR SINGH.

Jagannath temple

Hill Fort Kesroli

This fort is best known for its architectural design. It was built in 14th century by Yaduvanshi Rajputs. It is said that the Yaduvanshi was descendants of Lord Krishna. The verandas of this fort are well-known attraction point. Today this fort has been converted into a heritage hotel.

Sliserh lake

Just before the Sariska National park visitors make a stop at the beautiful Siliserh Lake. This lake was built by Maharaja Vinay Singh in the 19th century. One can admire the beauty of the lake for hours this is that much beautiful and breathtaking.
