The iBuyPower Revolt 2 Pro Gaming Desktop Under Review

In the last couple of weeks, small form factor desktops have started to win their place on the PC market. It seems that everyone is looking for a powerful PC, but with a smaller design.

But, customers should also know that when they are going for a thin profile, they will rarely find a design standing upright.

Why?

Designed for full-sized components, but in a small chassis. Revolt 2 intelligently utilizes its space to hold all the power you need to game with confidence. Website: http://www.ibuypower.com/Product/LandingPage/Revolt2

In purpose for manufacturers to bring class and elegance to performance computing. One of the best examples is the Falcon Northwest Tiki. But, here we are talking about the new iBuyPower Revolt 2.

This gaming PC is entirely unique, and it comes with a slim, elegant tower design. This new PC is like a letter for many other manufacturers, showing them how a gaming PC should look like.

The new iBuyPower Revolt 2 comes with a small, but also bigger chassis, offering inside a lot of space. Moreover, this PC is very powerful, despite the fact that it can fit only one video card.

As for the money, we must say that it is affordable too.

The new iBuyPower Revolt 2 is available at the price of 900 dollars, but it can also go up to approximately 1.500 dollars.

This PC made its first appearance at CES 2016. When it was first unveiled, everyone said that this gaming PC is like an anime.

Why?

Because, it has a strange, but also aggressively top panel and vented sides.

We think that everyone will want a PC design like this one. It features a transparent hood and there are LED lights along each side of the interior place.

Another great thing is that there is a bundled software tool that allows users to choose from 255 color options and various lighting patterns.

This chassis is more like a car hood, because it has a window that protects the GPU, which can also be swung back. Unfortunately, this gaming PC also has some downsides. For example, upgrades are not possible.

When people will open the Revolt 2 they will see that it has an unconventional interior.
For example, the video card’s prominent position is made possible by placing the Minit-ITX motherboard near the top of the case.

Moreover, there wasn’t enough room for the power supply and the manufacturers added it side-by-side with the motherboard. As for the fan, the company placed it only at the bottom, which means that only the 3.5-inch hard drive is mounted in the front.

These interesting decisions finally made it tough to upgrade. We must say that the only components that are easy to remove are the two hard drives (the SSD) that are placed under the hood, and the 3.5-inch mechanical drive.

The iBuyPower Revolt 2 comes with a Core i7-6700K processor, which is common in gaming PC systems. We must say that this processor is not overclocked and it is powered by 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Even if at the first glance people will think that this gaming PC is mediocre, we must add that it is powerful enough to run all new high-end games.
