Mani Ratnam Cheliya movie, Kaatru Veliyidai to be called Cheliyaa in Telugu,
After OK Bangaram got the best entertainer out from Mani Ratnam the ace director is again making a movie on grand base. The film Kaatru Veliyidai starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari is being dubbed into Telugu earlier named Duet but now they changed the title as Cheliya.
The film is produced by Dil Rau for the Telugu version. Cheliyaa is going to be released in the March end. AR Rahaman has scored music for this movie and Ravi Varman is Director of Photography for this film. Sreekar Prasad is the editor. Karthi is looking so confident on the sets of this film as output too is coming out very well.
Directorial skills of Mani Ratnam is well known and when it comes to a love story maniratnam is unbeatable.
The title of the Telugu dubbed version of filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s upcoming Tamil romantic-drama “Kaatru Veliyidai”, earlier titled “Duet”, has been renamed “Cheliyaa”.
In a statement, the makers announced on Thursday that the title of the film’s Telugu version had been changed to “Cheliyaa”.
Starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead, the film is set against the backdrop of snow-clad Kashmir and has also been shot in Ooty and Hyderabad among other places.
Karthi plays a fighter pilot while Aditi will be seen as a doctor.
Also starring Shraddha Srinath, RJ Balaji and Delhi Ganesh, the film has music by A.R. Rahman and cinematography by Ravi Varman.
Sri Thenandal Films has produced the film, which is gearing up for March or April release.
