Tamale Sports Stadium To Be Named After Ghana’s late Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama.

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will soon issue an Executive Instrument to name the Tamale Sports Stadium after Ghana’s late Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama.

The decision is said to coincide with the commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the death of the former Vice President who served in the erstwhile NPP administration.

The President’s action is in fulfilment of 2016 campaign promise to honour the late Vice President with the renaming of the Tamale Sport Stadium after him.

Conferring with the anniversary planning committee for the 5th Anniversary celebration of the passing of Alhaji Mahama at the Flag Staff House, President Akufo-Addo said the late former Vice President was a colleague of his and that from where he sits now, naming the identified stadium after the Late Vice President is the least he can do.
