The box office opening for DC Films’ Suicide Squad is looking to be a great one as it has been reported that it could open to $125 million in its North American debut when showing over the Aug. 5-7 weekend.
However box office analysts stress that it could rise as it is still early to make estimates.
In comparison to other comic-book films, Squad is knocking the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy‘s opening of $94.3 million but coming in second to Deadpool‘s $132.4 million. As already stated it’s still a bit early to make an exact reading from it so it could change.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents, an Atlas Entertainment production, a film by David Ayer, “Suicide Squad.” The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. The film opens worldwide in 3D, and in 2D, and in select IMAX 3D theaters beginning August 5, 2016.
