Nick Redfern, a well-known cryptozoologist, looked into a recent sighting in Tecumseh. A snapshot of what some believe to be a chupacabra was taken by local high school students. He thinks that chupacabra sightings in Oklahoma, Texas, and elsewhere are just canines, most likely coyotes, with genetic abnormalities.
Wildlife authorities and other experts concur, but believe that these animals are nothing special, except from incidences of mange. So, what’s all the fuss about? Even in the most remote locations, we are losing connection with the natural environment as civilization progresses. What was previously banal takes on a spectacular new identity as intriguing and magical.
