nTodaynwe are urged to stop and give another look to whatever we were aboutnto throw away.
n
n
n
n
n
nCouldnthat thing be recycled? Reused? Made into art? Donated to charity?nGiven to a friend? Sold on e-Bay or in a yard sale?

n
nInhave two thoughts here:
n
n
n
n
n
nFirst, nit is very dangerous to look too hard at everything you want to thrownaway, because you can become paralyzed. I can think of a way to usenalmost everything that qualifies as trash or garbage in either ancraft or a science experiments.
n
n
n
n
n
nBut as great as that would be for thenlandfills, it would be terrible for my house and side yard andngarage! n

n
n
nHowever…
n
n
n
n
n
nSecond, nit’s very worthwhile to set aside perfectly fine things for anonce-a-month drop-off at a charity/thrift store, rather than fillingnup landfills with old-but-working items and barely-worn-but-outgrownnclothes. Also, many people give gifts in December…so it’s thenperfect time to be collecting items to be repurposed or upcycled!
