Today is National Great American Pot Pie Day AND National Snack Stick Day!
A pot pie is meat, veggies, and gravy in a pie shell. Yummeroni!
And a snack stick is (apparently) a meat product that is smoked and that can be eaten as a snack, like beef jerkey is eaten – but it’s definitely not as dry as beef jerkey.
Gosh, I wish we could have one sweet and one savory celebration today, instead of two meaty / savory ones. Note that, despite the fact that I mentioned “meat” in both descriptions, just about everything is available these days in plant-based forms. I see that Marie Calender’s has a meat-free pot pie, and Viana has fake-meat sticks.
