Scott Styris Quits ODI | Retires from International Cricket

All rounder, Scott Styris of New Zealand has announced his retirement from international cricket in his 12 year career. Styris had made his debut in International cricket in 1999 at India Tour.He had retired from Tests in 2008

Styris said that “I have thoroughly enjoyed representing my country, It has been an honour for me and a pleasure to play for New Zealand alongside so many quality players over the years and to have been a part of many key moments during that time.

He Added “Not being on the international circuit means more time at home & I’m really looking forward to spending more time with my family.”

Styris, who quits international cricket will continue to play in domestic matches and in Chennai Super Kings in IPL and play for Northern Knights in the HRV Cup later in New Zealand.

He said I really do enjoy the T20 format game and see it as a way to stay involved in cricket for another year or two if I can.
