Samsung Gear S3 review: What to expect from the next-gen 2017 Smart Watches?

For a taste of the future, people should buy smart watches. Even if these devices are experiments, we must say that they have started to be useful.

For many people, these smart watches are best kept simple. For example, they should come with a good battery life over tons of features, and to be easy to use.

The Classic version of Samsung’s Gear S3 can now be purchased with LTE connectivity

You’ll be able to pair it with a Samsung phone, most Android phones, and now it even works with iPhones.

In the end, this example should also apply to smartphones. Manufacturers should not forget that watches are used by people to check things quickly.

Unfortunately, Samsung does not apply this strategy. That is why the new Samsung Gear S3 feels more like an experiment. Even if it is at its third upgrade, this smart watch does not feel mature at all. As a reminder, the S2 model was the first major redesign.

So, if we are looking on the smart watch market and where these devices will go next, we must say that Samsung is still exploring the ideas now.

But, this is not a bad thing after all. In the end, there must be somebody on the market that should explore all the new fields.

So, the new Samsung Gear S3 comes with a stand-alone cellular LTE connection without a phone, a Spotify on-wrist feature, and a wrist payment feature that is even more versatile than Apple Pay.

All these features sound good? Well, yes.

Bigger, bolder and more feature-rich than ever, this is a brilliant smartwatch in many ways. It just depends on whether you actually want a digital timepiece – and if you’re prepared to pay handsomely for the privilege.

This makes the new Samsung Gear S3 an insanely feature-rich smartwatch. But, there is only one problem. To be able all these new features, the company has also been forced to make this watch bigger and bolder.

Another bad thing is that unlike the Android’s upcoming 2.0 software update and the Apple Watch, Samsung’s Tizen-base Gear S3 doesn’t have enough power to improve the experience or support more apps. This means that few of these new apps actually use the watch’s standalone LTE.

However, in terms of hardware, the new Samsung Gear S3 is better than the older version, the Gear S2. Unfortunately, people are not so happy with the new Samsung Gear S3.

The Always on Display gives the Gear S3’s 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display the look of a true watch. Third party Always on Display designs are available for more variety.

For example, many people claimed that for 300 dollars, the price at which the Classic or Frontier models are available, they should get a solid and complex watch.

Moreover, in terms of software, the new Samsung Gear S3 is not any better than last year’s model. Furthermore, people should also not hurry to buy it, because the Android Wear 2.0 is already on the market, which means that new Android watches should appear.

In the end, we must say that the new watch is not really that bad. For example, it makes some incredible app executions, and offers notable hardware improvements, but it is not enough to be considered the ultimate smart watch.

Probably that the main attraction on this new watch is the Spotify app. Finally, Samsung managed to add it and it works great.

This app is able to stream over Wi-Fi or LTE, but people could not download tracks. Moreover, the interface is not so great, which means that it needs a little bit more work.
