Salman Khan had us in splits in between shots: Anupriya Goenka

Tiger Zinda Hai actor Anupriya Goenka: Salman Khan had us in splits in between shots

Actor Anupriya Goenka, who played the role of a nurse in Salman Khan-starrer Tiger Zinda Hai, says she enjoyed listening to the actor sing his heart out and crack jokes while shooting for the film.

Besides being known for his charitable deeds, actor Salman Khan is quite popular among his industry colleagues for his great sense of humour. And actor Anupriya Goenka, who worked with Salman in filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai, is the latest one to join the gang and sing his praise.

Talking about working with Salman, she says, “It was a dream for a long time to work with Salman sir. He is jovial, supportive and down to earth. He has an aura that you can never miss. His nature makes you love and respect him more,” says Anupriya, adding that what she loved the most about Salman was the way he used to sing songs on the sets.

Our power-packed, foot-tapping, title track, #ZindaHai is here and I’m super thrilled to be a part of it! Check it out right now if you haven’t yet! “He used to hum and sing his heart out, all the time. While shooting, we all would enjoy listening [to him]. Just before shooting emotional scenes, he would crack a joke and I would just go on laughing. There was an intense scene where I am strapped to a bomb, and he started cracking jokes, and I couldn’t stop laughing. But as soon as cameras would start rolling, he used to get serious — totally into his character,” adds the actor.

She feels when you collaborate with someone of Salman’s stature, you always end up learning. “The experience has taught me a lot. I used to watch him perform and how he would put his heart and soul into the character. There was quite a lot that I took home. I have grown as an actor,” says Anupriya, who will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat.
