‘Ruchir did not respond to insults,’ according to reports. Colaba nightclub goers threw beer on youngster Ruchir Modi in a display of hatred, according to sources.
The public outrage directed at Lalit Modi’s father over IPLgate seems to be falling on his son. Ruchir Modi was reportedly engaged in an altercation at a high-end, premier lounge club in Colaba recently, when he was allegedly thrown beer by unidentified persons.
“Ruchir walked in with his buddies and was partying at the lounge bar,” a person who was there at the gathering stated. Random individuals approached him and began tossing their drinks at him, despite the fact that he was peacefully doing his own thing.
“It seems that they were enraged about Lalit Modi and the IPL scandal and were venting their frustrations on him.” They taunted him about the IPL and made disparaging comments about his father. Surprisingly, Ruchir remained unresponsive.” Things, however, took a turn for the worst.
“Soon, poor Ruchir was bathed in booze and didn’t know what to do,” the person said. People were just approaching him and tossing beverages in his face and head. Ruchir’s situation deteriorated to the point that his security guards had to accompany him away. “The crowd had gotten completely out of hand.”
Lalit Modi, according to Dad, did not deny that such an occurrence occurred. “What you mentioned is not precisely what occurred,” he said, “but I’d rather not comment on it.” The situation is being investigated by the police.”
Is it becoming more difficult for Ruchir and other Modi family members to go out in public as a result of the IPL controversy? Modi said, “I don’t want to remark on this matter at all.”
“It’s not true,” a spokeswoman for the lounge bar claimed. Ruchir was on his way to a local restaurant for supper and stopped by our lounge bar for a while. There was no such occurrence.”
“It’s a rumour,” stated the lounge bar’s business manager and CEO. I’m not sure whether Ruchir showed up to our nightclub since I arrived late. I had no idea he was going to the club, and if Ruchir had shown up and there had been an issue, I would have known immediately.”
