The United States clearly will not tolerate violations of religious freedom. The US has released a list of 11 countries that violate religious freedom. Notably, Russia is also on the list. Russia is accompanied by Pakistan and China. These countries are included in the list of priority countries.
According to the US State Department, the lack of religious freedom is a concern in China, Cuba, Eritrea, Iran, Nicaragua, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. These countries have failed to stop religious discrimination and persecution.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the United States will continue to work to end sectarian oppression around the world. He said the United States would do whatever it could to help stop the violence caused by fundamentalist ideology.
“We will help anyone anywhere in the world have the right to live their religion. There are several groups of Islamic fundamentalists in the way of viewing America. Ten such institutions were included in the problem list. These include al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, the Houthis, ISIS-Greater Sahara, ISIS-West Africa, Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin, the Taliban and the Wagner Group, according to Anthony Blinken
