Pep Guardiola is certain Manchester City will sign one or two players but has completely ruled out the arrival of big names.
The manager has completely ruled out the arrival of Copa America golden ball winner Dani Alves and Leicester City’s highly rated defender Harry Maguire.
Alves is a free agent and will join any club capable of paying his £150,000-a-week plus offer him a 70% stalk in the first team. While Maguire will cost any club interested in his service £80m to sign.
Asked if City will sign Alves Guardiola replied;
“All the important clubs in the world know his situation and the incredible player he is”, Guardiola said during his press conference.
“He’s an extraordinary person too but now we have two incredible full backs {Kyle Walker and Danilo”.
Asked about Harry Maguire and others, Guardiola added; “Maybe we will but the transfer market is so difficult and the team is good enough.
“Maybe zero, maybe one, maybe one and a half. With the centre-half, if we can we will, if we can’t we will survive without a new central defender’.
