Manchester City have completed the signing of Derby County goalkeeper Scott Carson.
The shock acquisition of the 33-year-old short stopper took fans and media by surprises after reports had emerged that City had opened talks with Eibar stopper Asier Riesgo to become the club’s third choice keeper.
Riesgo has a fantastic relationship with Mikel Arteta and goalkeeping coach Xabi Mancisidor which prompted many to speculate he was coming to Manchester City.
According to Sky Sports, Scott Carson has passed his medical and signed a two year contract with City.Â
City’s have strengthened this summer and signed the likes of Rodri, Angelino, Joao Cancelo and Carson.
