Building giant trolls out of recycled wood – old pallets, fences, even a shed – that’s awesome!
Even better: hiding those giants in the wilderness, so that
people can discover them – wow! Awesome squared!
Danish artist Thomas Dambo made six giant sculptures and hid them in the woods surrounding Copenhagen. Each sculpture had a poem that gave a clue to the next one’s location, and Dambo provided a treasure map with “X”s marking the spots!
And now an arboretum in Chicago is offering a Dambo Troll-Hunt experience to people in the U.S.! Six “colossal” trolls are hiding in the botanic garden’s “far-reaching” forest – and apparently in the occasional clearing:
And a Colorado town has a Dambo troll sculpture, as well!
Wish I could see a Dambo troll! Maybe someday?
