nAstronomynis the study of the universe.nIt would seem that this is unrelated to the other Earth sciences, nwhich revolve around the study of, you know, the Earth—but remembernthat the Earth and everything on it (including us!) is built ofnmaterials created inside stars; also, the study of other planets andnbodies in the solar system help us to understand our own planet.

nInknow that there are other names for particular sciences. My brother, nfor example, is a geophysicist—someone who uses physical principlesnto study the Earth. There are also geochemists, astrophysicists, nastrochemists, physical oceanographer, chemical oceanographer, andnmany other specialists.
