Acer has released a new 2-in-1 device. We present you the new Acer Spin 7. This new device doesn’t come with something flashy or with amazing new things.
The new Acer Spin 7 is also a lot slower than other competitors on the market and it is a convertible laptop.
We must also say that this device doesn’t support a stylus for Windows Ink. However, despite these minuses, this laptop has a sparkle that attracts a lot of people, who can find themselves liking it very much.
The new Acer Spin 7 is available at the price of 1.250 dollars, which is higher than other previous devices from this line. We must say that other devices from this line came with a top offer of 650 dollars.
The Acer Spin 7’s a well-designed laptop with a nice touchscreen and sturdy 360-degree hinge, pretty good sound and a smoothly operating keyboard and touchpad.
This means that this 2-in-1 device is the first from the Spin family that is going higher than 1.000 dollars.
However, the price is not really that bad, because there are many other devices more expensive than this one.
But, the bad thing is that the new Acer Spin 7 comes with the exact price tag like other huge devices, for example: the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 and the Lenovo Yoga 910.
So, this means that Acer’s new laptop will have some hard times beating these two giants. The company announced this device in August 2016.
Then, the tech manufacturer has declared that the new Spin 7 will be the “world’s thinnest convertible,” featuring 0.4 inches/11 millimeters.
But, we must say that there is not all about which is the thinnest or which isn’t. If customers love the look, well then they will love the product and will buy the device.
We also think that weight and width are far more important than thickness. So, while this new device is thin, it’s 12.8 in/325mm wide, just like its main competitor, the Lenovo Yoga 910. We must also say that the new Acer Spin 7 comes with a single configuration.
Moreover, this laptop is considered to be the flagship of the company’s Spin line of general-purpose thin-and-light convertibles.
Another interesting thing is that the Spin 3 and Spin 5 devices are considered to be heavier and bigger than this model, which weighs 2.9 pounds. The new Acer Spin 7 comes with a thin-bezel 14-inch, featuring 1.920 x 1.080-pixel touchscreen in a 13.3-inch class aluminum body.
Moreover, under the hood, customers will find a 7th-generation Core i7 processor, accompanied by 8GB of memory, integrated graphics and a 256GB solid-state drive.
To be added that this laptop feels a little bit too heavy, but this is not a huge drawback. Other great things about this laptop is that it comes with a Gorilla-Glass-covered screen, a hinge with great tension, and an all-aluminum construction.
Like many other competitors on the market, this laptop also comes with two USB-C connections and a multipurpose headphone jack. This means that this port can also be used for line in, speaker output, mic input, or a headset. On the left side, users will find the power switch and volume control.
