DLife-Changing Lessons from My Near-Death Experience!
This is a true story about a near-death experience I had on December 24th of last year. It changed my life forever. I share this not to be judged but to help others avoid similar pitfalls in the coming year.
The Night That Changed Everything
It all started when I attended a night church service in my village. I arrived late and couldn’t find a seat, so I stood in the cold for about an hour. My legs began to shiver, and I decided to walk toward the church gate to stretch my stiff knees.
As I stood at the gate, I heard a female voice from the shadows. “It’s boring, right?” she asked. I walked closer to see who was speaking. A light-skinned girl sat on a small flower pavement.
“What’s boring?” I asked.
“The service, the night, everything,” she replied.
It was clear she wanted to talk, so I sat down beside her. Her name was Aderoke. She was from Ogun State, but her mother was from my village. She had grown up in Lagos and couldn’t speak or understand Igbo, the language of the service.
As we talked, I noticed she was shivering from the cold. Thinking she wanted comfort, I invited her to come closer. She leaned her head on my shoulder, and I wrapped my arm around her waist.
Before I knew it, we were kissing and groping. In the heat of the moment, she whispered, “Sex me, please.”
I hesitated. A part of me warned that she could be dangerous, but another part urged me to seize the moment. I chose the latter.
We found a more hidden spot and began to engage in intimate activities. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my butt. At first, I thought it was just an ant. But the pain intensified.
“Stop! I think something bit me!” I shouted, but she was too caught up to hear me. I pushed her away and shone my phone’s light on the ground. To my horror, I saw a long snake coiled up.
The girl screamed and ran away. I felt dizzy and faint. I managed to stumble back into the church and told someone I had been bitten by a snake. Then, I lost consciousness.
Aftermath
I woke up two days later after receiving traditional treatment. When asked how I got bitten by a snake in the church, I struggled to explain. I felt ashamed to tell my family the truth.
The only person I confided in was a man of God. After praying, he revealed that the girl had a jealous spiritual husband who was a serpent. The snake that bit me was not ordinary.
I believe God gave me a second chance for a reason. I vowed to change my careless lifestyle. I have given my life to God and decided that premarital sex is not for me anymore.
Overcoming temptation is not easy, but with prayer and determination, we can conquer anything.
