This new gaming console offers good performance and some interesting features. Let’s find out if the new MSI Trident 3 can rival with other gaming consoles on the market.
For many years gaming PC manufacturers have struggled to build the perfect gaming console. Some of these important manufacturers are AMD, Intel, and Nvidia.
Moreover, these three names also managed to create good gaming consoles and improved them year by year.
But, the main problem still remains. As we know, it is hard to combine affordability and power into the same package. MSI is another name that entered this market. It seems that this company is trying to make the perfect gaming console. Does MSI manage to do that? We don’t know yet.
The new MSI Trident 3 comes with an Intel Core i7-7700HQ, accompanied by 16GB of RAM, and a mid-range GTX 1060 with 3GB of RAM. Customers will be able to buy this new console at the price of 1.300 dollars.
Well, it seems that the price is not as affordable as the company claims to be. As we know, there are other PC desktops that cost less and offer the same amount of power.
This way we don’t see a real point why gamers should move to the gaming console. However, let’s say that its compact size could be worth the extra money, but that is not good enough.
We are happy to see that manufacturers are always trying to improve something at their consoles. In this case, MSI seems to have worked a little bit at the design, too.
The company added a small part of its red-and-black colors that are well-known from its gaming computers.
Moreover, there is a RGBBLEDs situated on the console’s corners, which is looking fantastic. Without a doubt that this is a good change for its design. Customers will be able to put this console in any place of the house, because it will still look great.
The new MSI Trident 3 also comes with a high number of plugs. Customers will find on the front panel three USB 3.1 ports, a 3.5mm audio in and out, and an HDMI port that can be used for virtual reality.
Moreover, on the back of the console, gamers will find four USB 2.0 ports, another Type-A USB 3.1 port, a gigabit Ethernet, and a HDMI for the internal GPU.
Customers should know that this new gaming console cannot be open. We don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. But, we must say that the manual specifically forbids people to open the lid of the console.
This means that if people will want to upgrade the new MSI Trident 3, they will have to send it back to MSI. Of course, there are customers who are not fans of this approach, but this should not represent a huge problem.
The new MSI Trident 3 is an expensive machine and customers should not open it and fix parts or upgrade them.
