Mortal Kombat 11 Has Been Announced – Are You Ready to Fight?

During a live event NetherRealm Studios, one of the most poplar fighting games franchise, revealed the new Mortal Kombat 11 game. The presentation had allot of news and videos showing both old and new characters of Mortal Kombat, some of the new gamplay systems and of course character customization possibilities. Mortal Kombat 11 will be launched on the 23’rd of april 2019 but it can be beta tested starting from the 28’th of March 2019, although beta testing will not be available on all gaming platforms and access will be granted only for gamers who preordered the game.

The highlight of the Mortal Kombat 11 presentation was of course the gameplay, where we could see classic characters like Raiden, Scorpion, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero or Sonya, as well as newly introduced characters like Geras, who’s fighting ability is the manipulation of sand. A new surprise was the newly redesigned Sonya Blade who’s voice was interpreted by Ronda Rousey, ex UFC fighter.

Story mode was always treated with special care by NetherRealm, and Mortal Kombat 11 is no exception. During the event the studio offered an entire video dedicated to the story of the new game. The story is focusing on time-travel and a vengeful Raiden (Dark Raiden) in the likes we have not seen before.

Fatalities, the signatures abilities of the Mortal Kombat games have been redesigned and are more brutal than ever. Some of the fatalities were presented during the live event, but more will come for sure, as players will discover when the game will be launched as they play. The next title will introduce a new series of powerful moves called Fatal Blows, which look like fatalities but not quite.

NetherRealm want to offer a more robust customization system, making it possible for players to chose between more styles for each character. Also new skins for the game characters will be available, and players will be able to modify ability settings as well as AI settings of the fighters.
