News and Controversies: Monu has been accused of being involved in the barbaric murder of two Muslim youths in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. These youths were accused of being part of a cow smuggling syndicate. However, technical surveillance team found him not at the spot where two youths were killed. Rajasthan Police has now categorically denied even indirect involvement of Monu in this incident.
An anti Hindu riot was started by Muslims in Mewat and Nuh following rumors that Monu will be part of a VHP Shobha Yatra. Such is the intensity of hate that Muslims have for Monu Manesar. Even the NDA government of Haryana has buckled under pressure and asked SIT to probe involvement of Monu in the riot. It should be noted here that there is absolutely no proof of Monu being a part of the Shobha Yatra.
