Michelle Heaton appeared on Loose Women on Wednesday wearing a bikini to publicly display her hysterectomy and C-section scars for the first time.
The 37-year-old former Liberty X star admitted she was shaking with nerves ahead of the brave experience as she stepped on to the ITV1 show to reveal the marks running along her breasts and stomach due to her surgeries.
Appearing in front of panelists Linda Robson, Ruth Langsford, Saira Khan and Janet Street Porter, who are in the midst of a widely-publicised body confidence campaign, she bravely unveiled the scars from the birth of her two daughters and her 2014 hysterectomy.
In her candid appearance on the show, Michelle, who shares daughter Faith, five and son Aaron, three, with husband Hugh Hanley, revealed her own staunch campaigns for female body confidence led to her decision to strip off.
She said: ‘My whole thing is to get women to be more confident about their bodies no matter what size they are and to show that you can change the way you look if you want to.
