Max Kruse has revealed he rejected several offers from top European clubs including Liverpool before settling for Fernanbache.
The 31-year-old Germany international was Jurgen Klopp’s preferred alternative to replace Daniel Sturridge after he left Werder Bremen and became a free agent.
Klopp wanted him but, Kruse felt moving to Turkey with Fernanbache will make him happier rather than Anfield.
Spekaing to beIN SPORTS Turkey, Kruse said: “During the transfer period, I’ve received lots of offers and one of them was Liverpool.
“But i decided to join Fenerbahce because i believe i will be very happy there. I spoke with a lot of players during that period and i am happy about my decisions”.
Kruse finished last season with 11 Bundesliga goals.
