Born on this date in 1928, Mr. Rogers created and hosted anpreschool TV series called Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood…anshow that featured field trips, educational films about how thingsnlike bulldozers work or how things like crayons are made,nmake-believe segments, and earnest conversations with the TV audiencenand live guests. Mr. Rogers’ loving, gentle wisdom was delivered withna soft-spoken voice and with a respectful directness – I love tonsee adults with that sort of respectful attitude toward kids.
