This new unit comes with 4K HDR support on the HDMI ports, which is a real attraction on the market. Another great thing about this unit is that it is the first one that comes with Denon’s HEOS multi-room music system integrated.
So, yes, the new Marantz NR1508 offers a really great performance for its size. Customers will be able to buy this receiver at the price of 550 dollars, which is a really good price for a receiver like this.
Moving to the design, we must say that after 7 years, this company remains very original. So, this new receiver is not an exception from this rule.
The new Marantz NR1508 has the same NR look, but with a few minor changes. We are talking about a black aluminum front panel that has rounded edges. Moreover, customers will find two big knobs in front, one for source selection, and another for volume.
Its body measures just 4.1 inches high, which is a huge difference compared with Sony’s receiver that measures 6.1 inches high. However, at this body size, the company still managed to add a large blue LED display.
