Finally, Manchester United have reached a £85m deal to sign Leicester City defender Harry Maguire which will make him the most expensive defender in the world.
Maguire deal with eclipse the £75m Liverpool paid Southampton to sign Virgil van Dijk last season. Sky Sports now reports he will be given a four year contract worth £250,000-a-week making him one of United’s biggest earner.
The 26-year-old has already told his manager Brendan Rodgers and teammates he will leave them this summer and join Manchester United who have a realistic chance of making the top 4 and winning trophies.
United are close to hitting the £200m spending mark having signed Daniel James, Ben Wassaka, Harry Maguire and soon Bruno Fernandes.
