Manchester City’s midfielder Rodri has given a little detail of what Pep Guardiola wants him to change quickly.
Guardiola is a perfectionist and also a winner. His main drive as always been to win as many trophies as possible while building a squad capable of dominating the opposition and thrilling the fans in the same time.
Rodri revealed that Guardiola wants him to prove on his defensive and offensive side, his positioning as well as movement on and off the ball as well as think smartly when in possession of the ball.
“We don’t talk after the game but before he told me what i had to do on the pitch, focus on defensive and offensive side”, Rodri told reporters during his press conference.
“It’s a start for me, it’s not easy i have to adapt my way of playing and know my partners. I will get more confident and more used to my partners and understand them and for me it’s good he tell me things”.
Focusing on Guardiola clear message to him, he added: “The things he told me. Movement. What i had to do with the ball when i get possession of it, how i organise my partners. Many things. I can’t explain now but you will see over the season i will adapt to this team”.
Rodri will part of the team that takes on Wolves in the final of the Premier League Asia Trophy on Saturday.
