Manchester City closes in Isco after Real Madrid gives approval

Manchester City is reportedly closing in on signing Real Madrid’s unsettled attacker Isco.
Daily Star reports that Real Madrid want 80m {£72m} for the attacker and City are prepared to pay that fund for a player they believe will be the long term successor of David Silva.
Los Blancos have seen the departure of top players like Mateo Kovaic {to Chelsea}, Marcos Llorente {to Atletico Madrid} and soon the likes of Gareth Bale will join {Bayern Munich}, James Rodriguez {Napoli} and Isco {to Manchester City} if all goes to plan.
Isco though will want an increase in his current €6m {£5.4m}-a-year-wages plus a ‘star status’ to swap the Bernabeu for the Eithad.
City have signed just two players this season in Rodri and Angelino but are also looking for an attacking midfielder and a centre back.
