Manchester City is reportedly closing in on signing Real Madrid’s unsettled attacker Isco.
Daily Star reports that Real Madrid want €80m {£72m} for the attacker and City are prepared to pay that fund for a player they believe will be the long term successor of David Silva.
Los Blancos have seen the departure of top players like Mateo Kovaic {to Chelsea}, Marcos Llorente {to Atletico Madrid} and soon the likes of Gareth Bale will join {Bayern Munich}, James Rodriguez {Napoli} and Isco {to Manchester City} if all goes to plan.
Isco though will want an increase in his current €6m {£5.4m}-a-year-wages plus a ‘star status’ to swap the Bernabeu for the Eithad.
City have signed just two players this season in Rodri and Angelino but are also looking for an attacking midfielder and a centre back.
