In the Kuban, a 35-year-old assistant to the operational duty officer of the duty unit of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Shcherbinovsky district killed a 47-year-old woman in a car. According to the agency, on the evening of November 13, a drunken policeman was driving a Nissan car along Krasnopartizanskaya Street. He did not keep his distance and lost control. As a result, the law enforcement officer ran into a cyclist who was moving in the same direction. Eyewitnesses called an ambulance, but the victim died.
The victim was the mother of two children, the eldest of whom is seriously ill, a law enforcement source told Lenta.ru.
On the fact of the incident, a case was initiated under paragraph “a” of part 4 of article 264 (“Violation of the rules of the road and the operation of vehicles”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Now the driver is in jail.
