Lucky guy purchases a scratch-off at Publix and wins $1 million

A Florida guy won the lotto on Tuesday and collected his $1 million winnings on a scratch-off ticket.

According to the Florida Lottery, Fort Walton Beach resident Andrew Hyche, 47, won a $1 million win from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game.

In Fort Walton Beach, Hyche purchased the winning ticket from a Tom Thumb. A $2000 bonus will be given to the retailer for selling the winning ticket.

Hyche ultimately received a $795k lump-sum settlement as compensation for winning.

In September 2021, the $20 GOLD RUSH LIMITED game was launched, giving ticket purchasers the opportunity to win one of 100 prizes for $1 million or one of 32 top prizes worth $5 million.

Additionally, the game offers over 33,000 prizes ranging from $1,000 to $100,000, with a general winning chance of 1 in 2.65.
