Manchester City and Liverpool are reportedly battling for the signature of Norhern Ireland and Linfield star Charlie Allen.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, the 15-year-old is the most coveted teenager in the country and several top clubs are already inquiring about his availability.
To further boast his profile in the international scene, Allen has been selected by Lindfield manager David Healy to play in the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round first leg clash against Rosenborg at Windson Park.
If Allen were to feature, he will break the record for the youngest UK player to ever play in the tournament and become one f the youngest of all time to turn out in club football’s most prestigious competition.
Allen who turns 16 in November is currently wanted by Europe’s biggest club like Liverpool, Manchester City & United, Totttenham and even Scottish clubs like Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen.
