Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has dismissed speculation linking him to AC Milan or any other club in Europe.
The 30-year-old still loves Anfield and wants to be part of the team that faces Tranmere in Liverpool’s first pre-season match on Thursday.
Asked if he will be joining AC Milan or any Italy based club, he replied;
“No! i am a Red”, he told Liveproolfc.com.
Asked if he ready to play for Liverpool in their first pre-season match, he replied ecstatically.
“Yeah, why not? I’m a football player so i want to play football- that’s what i’m doing all my life so why not?
“Like always it {day one of pre-season} was a little bit hard, but i’m glad that i’m here back. The vacation is over, it’s time to work and to get back on track where we stopped.
“We need to prepare ourselves for the beginning of the season because the schedule is quite tight when you look at it. We will play already for two big, major trophies {in August} so it’s a great opportunity for us and all the fans around the world”.
Lovren is currently Liverpool’s fourth choice defender and he will need to work harder to displace Joe Gomez or Joel Matip from the starting line up.
