Liverpool’s pre-season matches might not have gone to plan with the series of defeats to BVB, Sevilla and Napoli but, it’s nothing to worry about knowing that some very important players are not yet back.
Jurgen Klopp is optimistic that the results will have no effect on his team’s psychic nor his preparation for next season’s challenge.
Shaqiri and Keita who were both injured are back and training with the first team. They’ll be joined by Mohamed Salah and Copa America winning duo Alisson Becker and Roberto Firmino on Monday.
“Shaqiri and Keita have trained once with us today’, Klopp told LFCTV.
“They’ll join Mohamed Salah, Alisson Becker and Roberto Firmino tomorrow. That’s five of six back which is great”.
Liverpool will round off their pre-season campaign against Lyon on Wesnesday before tackling Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembly the following weekend.
