Kyle Walker is delighted with been a Manchester City player but is worried why the club is yet end their wait to win an European title.
Walker who joined City for £50m from Tottentham back in 2016 have never reached a Champions League final despite been managed by Pep Guardiola who has equally failed to reach the Champions League final with both Bayern Munich and Manchester City since departing Barcelona back in 2012.
Next season will come with a fresh challenge and new expectation and Walker is hoping this year will be City’s year.
“I feel for us, especially some of the lads in there, we’re not getting any younger”, Walker told BT Sports.
“I want to win the Champions League before i finish my career. I feel like i’m at the right club to do that. If we don’t get as far as we should do it feels like we’ve underachieved in that.
“It’s a learning curve, especially for me i need to pass on my experience for the youngsters coming through. Hopefully, sooner rather than later will be lifting that one as well”.
Pep Guardiola will be aiming to win the Champions League trophy this season having signed the likes of Rodri and Angelino to give him that extra adapt in midfield and defense to go all the way.
