Kamala Harris accepts the U.S. presidential nomination

Washington: U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has officially accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for the 2024 presidential race. It is known that current President Joe Biden, facing opposition from his own party due to issues related to his age, has stepped down from the race and announced Kamala Harris as his successor. If Kamala Harris wins, she will become the first woman elected as President of the United States.

The Democratic National Convention, which began on Monday in Chicago, concluded on Thursday. Amid cheers from party delegates and officials, Kamala Harris said that she accepts the nomination on behalf of every American, regardless of party, gender, or race. She vowed to unite all Americans and fight for the future of the country.

She emphasized that this election offers valuable and unprecedented opportunities to overcome the hatred and divisive wars of the past in our nation. Harris stated that this is a chance to chart a new path forward, not as members of any particular party or group, but as Americans.

Harris also took aim at her opponent, Republican Party candidate Donald Trump, accusing him of trying to take the country backward.
