Juventus are reportedly interested in swapping their highly rated attacker Paulo Dybala for Manchester United outcast Romelu Lukaku according to Tuttosport.
The Bianconeris want the deal done before the English transfer window closes and have now given United seven days to decide if they want Dybala in exchange of Lukaku.
United though are yet to decide if that is the best deal knowing that Dybala’s form and confidence has hit rock bottom since Cristiano Ronaldo joined the club last season.
Before Ronaldo joined Juve, Dybala’s was the club’s linchpin, the the game changer who made things happen. He scored 22 goals with 13 assist in 33 games as Juventus went on to win the Seria A along with domestic cups.
But with the arrival of Ronaldo, Dybala has struggled for form and confidence and managed just 5 goals in 30 appearances and made more substitute appearances rather than first team.
Swapping him for Lukaku might look good on paper but, what if he fails to hit the high standards at Old Trafford. It then means United have missed £80m from selling Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan.
Frankly that will be bad business and someone has to be fired for that.
For now, the deal is on the table and United could decide to move for Dybala or Douglas Costa.
