On Saturday, U.S. District Court Judge Ann Donnelly ordered a stay on immigrants and refugees detained nationwide in various airports.
The stay was issued one day after President Trump signed an executive order halting the immigration of nationals from seven predominantly Muslim countries.
It just so happens, Donnelly, who was appointed by then-President Barack Obama in 2015, had repeatedly donated to both Obama’s and Bill Clinton’s respective presidential campaigns.
In 2008, Donnelly reportedly donated a sum no less than $250 to Obama’s presidential campaign and donated at least $500 in 1992 to Clinton’s campaign.
