Joe Gomez don’t see any reason why Liverpool should spend big bringing in 5 or 6 players this season. Neither do they need the likes of Kylian Mbappe, James Rodriquez, Gareth Bale or Neymar to make them stronger.
Gomez feels the players are committed, good enough to produce week in, week out and improve every single season.
They players have all signed contract extension and are in the right age bracket to stay and fight for the manager and the club.
“Probably a lot of fans want to see money spent and big names coming in, but when you look at our team, everyone is committed”, Gomez told LFC Tv.
“Look at the amount of contracts that have been signed in the lat 12 months, look at the age of the team. We’re here to stay. And if you look in all the different departments, the quality is there.
“Training here has been of an unbelievable standard, and we still have Mo, Sadio, Bobby, Ali to come back! Competition is good, but i think the squad has a good balance too. The manager knows best, and if he’s confident in us then why shouldn’t we believe in ourselves?”
Liverpool have signed just two players this season in Seep van Berg and Elliot although, both players are not regarded as first team players.
