Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wlishere has admitted he is a huge fan of Manchester City due to their impressive style of building the game from the back before finishing off their opponents with loads of goals.
Unlike Liverpool, who loop the ball forward for their fantastic front three to do the whole job of scoring the goals.
From Van Dijk to Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane and then goal.. Boring football in Wilshere’s book but very effective.
Asked which team has what it takes to win the Premier League title, Wilshere said:
“I’m a massive fan of City. I like the way they play and keep the ball. But Liverpool play with more intensity and are more direct”, Wilshere told reporters when asked to give his verdict over Liverpool and Manchester City.
“They don’t have the possession City have, but they are effective. You would go with City because they are the champions. But Liverpool are European Champions”.
