As we know, Google has released two new handsets that are entirely designed and manufactured by it. Google Pixel is the standard phone, while Google Pixel XL is the bigger version.
With Samsung out of the picture for a while, due to the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, the new 5.5-inch Pixel XL is the next high-end large-screen phone to check out. This new phone comes with an excellent camera and with the famous Google’s new Assistant software.
These new features will also place the new Google Pixel XL on top of the OnePlus 3. Of course, Google’s phone also has some new competitors that are waiting to arrive on the market. We are talking about the new LG V20, but with the preliminary benchmark and battery times, we must say that the new XL is on the lead.
Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge remains an excellent 5.5-inch device, but the new Google Pixel XL is cheaper and offers a pure Android experience. Google’s phone is without a doubt a device that should be recommended to customers who are in search for a large-screen device accompanied by an excellent camera.
Moreover, with the new Google Pixel XL(check full specifications on the official Google Website), customers will also have the opportunity to save some money.
As we know, for the past six years, Google partnered with different manufacturers like Samsung, Huawei, LG and Motorola, to make its Nexus devices. This is the first year when Google builds its own phone, without any other manufacturer involved.
But, the question is what will happen with the Nexus line?
It seems that Google has decided to ditch this sub-brand and start over.
There is not much different between the standard Pixel and the bigger version. These two phones are nearly identical. The most significant hardware differences are the Pixel XL’s larger, brighter display and a bigger battery.
To be added that the new Google Pixel XL also comes with a higher price, being available at about 120 dollars more than the standard Pixel. To be added that everything else, including the camera, processor and design, are the same.
So, because there is so little difference between these two gadgets, choosing between them comes down to size. This means that customers who are preferring a larger phone should get the Pixel XL.

This phone comes with a 5.5-inch display, featuring a resolution of 2.560×1.440 pixels, which means that it has a density of 534ppi per inch. Moreover, it measures 6.09×2.98x.0.34 and weighs 5.92 pounds. Under the hood, there is a 3.450mAh battery, which means that it is bigger compared with the 2.770mAh found on the standard Pixel.
One of the best things about the new Pixel phone it that it comes with a “pure” version of the Android 7.1 Nougat software.
This means that this phone will be the first in line for future updates. The second best thing is that it has Google Assistant, an AI bout that uses machine learning and the company’s large search database to answer all types of questions.
