First reported by Wales Online and now confirmed by Variety, Invictus star Julian Lewis Jones has joined DC Films’ Justice League. He is added to already stellar cast, which includes Ben Affleck, Ezra Miller, Gal Gadot, and others.
Jones was interviewed by Wales Online to which he talked briefly and somewhat vaguely about his role.
“I’m not allowed to say yet what part I play, but let’s just say I’ve a role in what will likely be the most expensive film ever made,” Jones said.
“It was filmed at Warner Bros. studio at Leavesden as well as at various locations around the U.K. and Iceland,” he added. “Directed by Zack Snyder, it stars Ben Affleck, Jeremy Irons and host of A-list actors. I’m just happy to have been involved and I’m looking forward to the movie’s release, which will be next year.”
The film, written by Chris Terrio, is scheduled to be released on Nov. 17, 2017, with “Justice League: Part Two” set for June 14, 2019.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, this marks the big screen debut of the Justice League, featuring an all-star lineup: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher. With JK Simmons as Comissioner Gordon, Amber Heard as Mera, Julian Lewis Jones, and Willem Dafoe as Vulko.
