NEW DELHI: Two business schools in India have been released this week in Forbes’ Best Business Schools 2019 ranking.
The campus of the Indian Business School (ISB), in Hyderabad and Mohali, ranks seventh in the world, while S P Jain Global’s world-renowned MBA program ranks 12th.
Forbes’ annual list ranks schools only “with a 5 year MBA gain.” This year, Forbes has looked at more than 100 schools, and has surveyed 17,500 former students for pre- and post-MBA compensation, career opportunity and placement.
The S P Goddess Class of 2014 provided $ 61,300 in net proceeds, higher than the 2-year MBA programs of NYU, USC, Georgia Tech, UNSW Business School, Schulich Business School, Penn State and other major international business schools.
“We are delighted that we have risen to the Forbes MBA rankings this year, especially as this is a student-led ranking. Since 2011, our Global MBA has been consolidated in the Top MBA rankings by Top Financial Times, Forbes and The Economist. It is particularly exciting for SP Jain Global 1 year ago and are rated much better than 2-year MBA programs, “said SP Global President Nitish God.
Dr. Balakrishna Grandhi, the dean of the program, confirmed that by doing global jobs, S P God graduates have lived and learned in three of the world’s leading businesses.
ISB dean Professor Rajendra Srivastava said that they are keen to work hard and keep the ladder in the right direction.
“We are delighted to be participating in the Forbes Best Business School 2019 rankings, and we are delighted to receive increasing recognition from the ISB Graduate School of Management (PGP) worldwide,” said Professor Srivastava.
ISB has participated in Forbes rankings for the first time this year.
Forbes’ rankings indicate the net accumulation that former students would earn in five years by remaining in their previous MBA career.
