  • Inam Ul Haq Mengnoo, the husband of Inayat Khan, is annIPS officer of 2012 batch. They had started to see each other during foundationncourse at LBSNAA. He was originally from Assam Meghalaya Cader. However, he hadnrequested about cader transfer after marrying Inayat which was accepted by thenGovernment. He is now a Bihar Cader IPS officer.
  • Inayat Khand had offered to adopt two daughters of Pulwama martyrs. This was widely reported by the media. However, it is notnknown whether she had actually adopted those two daughters, or her offer wasnpolitely declined by the family. In all probability, it seems she has notnadopted and still getting accolades for something which she had not done.
  • Just after joining Araria as DM, Inayat Khan had visited a Shiva temple and had done rudrabhishek. This act was lauded as a glaring example or social compassion. However, people of Sheikhpura were also reminded that she had done Puja at a Vishnu temple in Samas after joining the district, but later had shown no respect for Hindus events. 

Interaction with the Prime Minister

Sheikhpura district was chosen by the Government of India to be among 113 inspirational districts. Inayat Khan worked hard which was evident in the fact that her district was ranked 5th among these 113 districts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had interacted with her through video conferencing on 21st January, 2022 and lauded her effort.
