Two teenage boys, driving an old-fashioned car, were on their way to a barn dance when they spotted a lone girl walking along the road. Dressed in a fancy gown and seemingly lost in the darkness, the girl accepted their offer of a ride. Despite her pale complexion, she possessed an ethereal beauty that captivated the boys.
When the girl learned of their destination, she expressed a desire to attend the dance. The boys, intrigued and charmed, agreed to her request. The evening was filled with joy and laughter as the trio danced and enjoyed each other’s company.
As the night drew to a close, the boys offered to take the girl home. She accepted, but before leaving, she borrowed one of the boy’s jackets, complaining of the cold. When they arrived at her destination, she exited the car and disappeared into the house, forgetting to return the jacket.
The next day, the boys returned to the house, hoping to retrieve the jacket and perhaps learn more about the mysterious girl. However, they were met with a chilling revelation. The girl’s mother, upon hearing their story, turned pale and revealed a heartbreaking truth: her daughter had died in a car accident five years ago, on her way to a dance.
Overwhelmed by shock and disbelief, the boys visited the girl’s gravesite. There, they found the jacket, draped over the tombstone.
