nThe husband ofnGauri Parashar is Ajit Joshi who is also an IAS officer. Ajit is quitendistinguished and considered as a strict and honest officer. He belongs tonHaryana Cadre.

nAfter thenmarriage with Ajit, Gauri got deputation from Odisha cadre to Haryana. Since,nHaryana is her home state and hence it is not possible for her to get thisncadre now. It is because of this fact that Bhupinder Singh Hooda had written anletter to the then PM Manmohan Singh asking him to change the cadre of thesentwo officers to Punjab. That shows the power of connection of Gauri’s father innlaw.

nIt should bennoted that the cadre transfer couldn’t happen because of various reasons.nHowever, Joshi duo remained favorite of the Haryana administrative set ups. Shenis still in Haryana on deputation and even getting plum post by CM Khattar.nRecently, her deputation has been increased for two more years and hence shenwill remain in this state till 2018.
